The photograph above typifies Baku as the city is an unusual mix of extremely modern architecture plus ancient buildings. It is one of the quickest-growing cities in the world and has every possible modern amenity along with a huge slice of history and romance.
The city also has the good sense to host an annual Formula One race which attracts me to the place even more.
The first video below explains just some of the fantastic features you’ll find in the city. It has worked hard on its cultural aspect – and not just the history. There are many modern museums and theatres, plus annual festivals are held in the city. A wonderful modern feature is the experience of the Flame Towers. See them in action in the second video below.
