Yes, there really is a place called Two Egg in Florida. Google maps will even confirm it. And doesn’t it amuse you that it’s two singulars, rather than being Two Eggs? The Two Egg website says that the name developed because of the farm produce that the locals used to barter.

I’m sceptical. Why not Two Tomatoes or Two Carrots or something? But, there you are. Two Eggs it is.

The area, which Wikipedia describes as ‘a small unincorporated community in Jackson County, Florida, United States‘, has its own ghost, a historical pirate and even its own monster. This is – evidently –  a mini bigfoot or yeti and goes by the name of the Two Egg Stump Jumper.

I promise that I’m not making this up.

The website is full of even more bizarre facts. It reports the news that in 2010 it snowed there.
